Anxiety

Anxiety is being worried or anxious about anything. Whether there’s a reason for it or not. Some kids have social anxiety, which is being nervous around any form of social situations. For example, participating in a class, meeting new people, and more. Kids can have a anxiety attack. An anxiety attack is feeling overwhelmed during a bad experience. Symptoms include:

  • Shortness of breath

  • Stomach problems

  • Dizziness

  • Crying

  • "Lump in your throat" feeling

How to cope with Anxiety

There are many different ways anxiety can be relieved. Either for a few hours, or a few months.

Tricks include

  • ​Therapy/talking to a counselor if you have an Anxiety Disorder or more severe

  • Listening to music

  • Going for a walk

  • Eating a snack or drinking water

  • Hangout with a friend or pet

  • Writing down your thoughts/feelings
